FLSmidth installed Dorr-Oliver® flotation mechanisms to replace old technology at Mount Isa Mines in northwest Queensland, Australia. The results included increased copper grade and recovery, lower cost wear parts, and reduced maintenance costs. FLSmidth continues to invest in forced-air, mechanical cell design improvements and introduced the innovative nextSTEP™ rotor/stator to the mining industry in 2015.
