Acheiving World Class Maintenance
Acheiving World Class Maintenance
Description
There are no world class maintenance organizations. Rather, there are ‘world class’ mining organizations that include a world class maintenance organization. Maintenance, by itself, is a service-provider. When that service is exceptional, it is made that way because maintenance is operating in a mining environment that requires it to be exceptional. Mining managers will have created a working environment in which maintenance can be exceptional. They have caused operations to accept responsibility for the effect utilization of maintenance services and staff departments like warehousing or purchasing to provide exceptional service because it is expected of them. World class status is only achieved when there is a total operation effort.
