The East Columbia Basin Irrigation District in Othello, Washington, receives regulated water from the East Low Canal to irrigate agricultural land. Water is moved from basins, dams, and irrigation canals through concrete siphons. Signs of deterioration through cracking has occurred and rises complications such as water loss, eroded soil, and seeping of agricultural chemicals. All of these complications pose a threat to local environmental health and public safety. The East Columbia Basin Irrigation District chose PREVent-C when building two siphons which led to a 1 percent joint failure compared to 25 percent.
