The Pueblo Viejo gold mine in the Dominican Republic is a joint venture between Barrick Gold and Gold Corp., which hold 60% and 40% ownership respectively. The mine is operated by Barrick Gold and 2013 was the mine’s first full year of production.

African Barrick Gold (ABG) needed help to address rising energy costs and tightening profit margins at its North Mara mine in Tanzania. North Mara is a high-grade open pit gold mine with a life-of-mine estimated at 10 years, and the potential to process 8,000 tonnes of ore per day.
